Like most charities, we receive funding from various sources, and we are fortunate to have the generous support of a range of fantastic, like-minded organisations and individuals:

Partnerships with the treatment industry

We work with a range of reputable, well-respected organisations in the treatment industry, all of which support our overall vision, mission and goals, and partner with us based on shared interest, transparency, trust and mutual benefit. Typically, around 93% of our funding comes from these partnerships.

As well as being guided by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) codes of practice, we have also developed our own rigorous policy for working with the treatment industry to maintain our independence and transparency.

Member organisations

Parkinson’s Europe members are Parkinson’s organisations and affiliate organisations which are based in Europe, all of whom pay a yearly membership fee in return for various membership benefits like information, networking and amplifying their campaigns and initiatives to a wider European audience. This usually makes up around 4% of our total yearly funding.

Grants

We apply for relevant grant funding from organisations and charitable foundations whenever we are eligible, usually for specific campaigns or projects, for example designing and creating this website (you can see the companies that supported us in the footer below). This will change year-on-year but typically makes up around 2% of our funding on average.

Donations

While this currently only makes up approximately 1% of our funding, we are incredibly grateful to receive one-off and regular donations from our generous supporters.
