Photographer Diana Levine’s annual Photo Shoot for a Cure fundraising event has raised $44,000 for the Michael J Fox Foundation in just two years.
The photography and cocktail party was launched in Boston by the Parkinson’s campaigner to raise awareness after her mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at the age of 47.
Diana, who has photographed public figures including Barack Obama, Kim Kardashian and One Direction, said: “I love the fact that with Team Fox 100% of the proceeds goes towards Parkinson’s research. It’s an amazing feeling.”
She spoke to Parkinson’s Life about her mother’s Parkinson’s diagnosis and her passion for better educating people about Parkinson’s.
