Membership Benefits
The EPDA depends on donations, sponsorship and contributions in order to carry out its work.
The membership fee is a contribution to the EPDA to allow us to continue providing a range of resources aimed at people with Parkinson's disease, their families and carers, and health professionals. These include:
Use of the EPDA Logo
Each member can use a specially designed logo that incorporates 'Member Organisation'
- Members may use the EPDA Member Organisation logo on their website or publications to promote their association with the EPDA, free of charge
- Where the EPDA logo is to be used in relation to a project, Press release or other documentation, written permission must be obtained from the EPDA before use. In these cases, members are asked to submit a draft of the documents to be used indicating where the logo will be placed and any wording associated with it
- Once agreed, EPDA will supply the logo to the organisation with appropriate instructions for use.

- Flexicards - These cards are available in 12 languages, stating ‘I have Parkinson’s disease –

…….’ and are free of charge to member organisations, their membership and healthcare professionals
- Tulip Pins - Member organisations may have up to 100 tulip pins per year free of charge.
- Regular information on European activities that may benefit the organisations and their members
- Websites: www.epda.eu.com, www.rewritetomorrow.eu.com Both these sites are continually being updated with information, validated by the 'experts' i.e. healthcare professionals, PWP and carers
- Guide to Living with PD and to healthy eating - dedicated website www.epda.eu.com/patientGuide
- Member organisations have the opportunity to promote work and projects carried out by their national organisations and by people who live within their countries. In addition, new pages have been created to promote the work carried out by your organisations.
- Nutrition & Parkinson’s produced and translated from Italian into English by Hoffmann La Roche, this important document provides help and advice for the need of following a special nutritional therapy.
- Information on DBS and Living with Activa, two booklets produced by Medtronic with the assistance of healthcare professionals and PWP from throughout Europe
EPDA Publications
- EPDA Plus - quarterly magazine providing international news and addressing important issues such as the Hidden Face, Hospital Admissions and End of Life so important to people with PD and healthcare professionals as an "added value" to our membership. One copy per organisation; also available via our website. It has a global circulation
- EPNN Journal - quarterly magazine providing specific education for all healthcare professionals involved in PD management. One copy per organisation; also available via our website. It has a global circulation
- Annual Report contains an update on the EPDA’s work programme, projects, networking, European developments, publications, Business Plan and Financial Report
- EPDA Media Guide to help organisations plan their media events and liaise with journalists
Members additionally have access to
- Free attendance of each PD organisation’s Official (voting member) Delegate at the annual General Assembly meeting, including one or two nights accommodation, all meals, entertainment and delegate papers
- The opportunity for each organisation, their membership and Medical Advisory Boards to participate in
Quality of life research projects and to benefit from the results such as:

- INFOpark, a European project looking at the information needs of older disabled people and their carers, and other European projects
