Motor symptoms are those that are related to movement, such as tremor, freezing and rigidity.
A rating scale is a means of providing information on a particular feature by assigning a value to it. In Parkinson’s, rating scales require the ‘rater’.
Many Parkinson’s medicines are taken orally (through the mouth), usually in tablet or capsule form. Some are administered through the skin (transdermal) or via an infusion pump.
Slowing down or stopping the process of neurodegeneration remains one of the most important goals of current Parkinson’s research.
